Q1 results up 12% says NPD.

Sales of prestige beauty products in US department stores surged 12% to $2.6 billion in the first quarter of 2013, according to The NPD Group. “Gains in both skin care and makeup are happening in many areas, but smaller segments and sub-segments, as well as sets and kits, are making a large impact within both categories.
